Celebrating 100 years of its only factory in Alsace ... Lalique launches a new colour way

100 years. A century of art and brilliance. To celebrate the anniversary of its factory, Lalique’s most iconic pieces have been turned a beautiful cerulean blue. This vibrant colour, a symbol of eternity and hope, is an invitation to dive deeper into the singular and refined world of the Alsace based crystalworks.

The Bacchantes, Mossi and Languedoc vases and the Champs- Élysées bowl - cult pieces - are now available in an azure.

The pure blue hue is evocative of the crystalworks’ creative genius and mastery. Founded 100 years ago, this temple of high-end crystal craftsmanship manufactures all Lalique’s creations in Wingen-sur- Moder, in Alsace. One day, when René Lalique was with his granddaughter, Nicole Maritch, in Chartres Cathedral surrounded by intense and distinctive shades of blue, she asked him innocently: “Can you make the most beautiful blue in the world?” Since then, Lalique’s links to this majestic hue have evolved continuously: light blue, Cap Ferrat blue, midnight blue, Persepolis blue, sapphire, turquoise – so many deep and distinct shades that reflect the zeitgeist and celebrate the art of living.
